Good honest home cooking in an unpretentious country pub at a reasonable price.

A traditional, homely, in its way quaint, well kept pub. This pub is the sort of "find" that you want to keep to yourself but know it deserves to be, but perhaps not too much. Its front garden is a suntrap, with plenty of shady parasols, whilst rear/side garden has the most idyllic views over the Usk Valley. Wholesome food washed down with some nice ale, what more can one ask? Enjoy it, but never spoil its cosy warmth from every aspect!

Had a brilliant afternoon on the Friday of the Royal Wedding - sat in the sunshine with good friends in the garden, eating paella and drinking Vale of Glamorgan. Can't fault it :)
